In the world of anti aging business, a monster in this industry has just gobbled up another company...
Nu Skin Enterprises Inc. said Thursday it is purchasing a Wisconsin company for about $11.7 million.
The Provo-based seller of anti-aging, skin-care and nutritional supplement products is buying LifeGen Technologies, LLC of Madison, whose assets include a tissue bank, proprietary gene database and patents related to gene research. LifeGen previously had worked with Nu Skin in developing products.
“Our acquisition of LifeGen will further solidify the competitive advantage Nu Skin enjoys with our ageLOC anti-aging platform with exclusive access to LifeGen’s breakthrough work on genetic sources of aging,” Nu Skin CEO Truman Hunt said in a statement. “Overall, we believe that this acquisition of LifeGen will enhance our pipeline of next-generation anti-aging products for many years to come.”
